Turtles set to break a record

The Turtles at Mon Repos was set to break visitor records last night in the final night of the Turtle nesting and Hatching season. It has been a record in visitor numbers, but the extreme heat over the period has seen a number of clutches that has not survived the heat, despite the installation of shade cloth. These remarkable visitors to our shores attract thousands of tourist to our region every year, which continues to grow as their fame spreads.
