Live and Local: What’s On in Bundy This Weekend

20 June, 2025

Bundaberg is turning up the volume again this weekend with a jam-packed lineup of live entertainment, local legends, and toe-tapping tunes to carry you through from Friday evening to Sunday night.

The fun kicks off on Friday afternoon with Shane Allsop getting the party started at Sugarland Tavern from 4pm. Over at Ballistic Brewing, Pete O’Brien brings the good vibes from 5:30pm, while Drift and Wood Café keeps things cruisy with Russell Bishop. As the sun sets, a wave of live acts rolls in across town — from Aaron Westlake at the Federal Hotel in Childers and country icon Allen Caswell at Oodies Café, to Frostbite heating things up at Tattersals Hotel. Burnett Bowls Club hosts Mick Bazley, while Ricks at Bargara welcomes Stella Hutchins. Over at the Sandhills Sports Club, Miss Lee keeps the energy high, and Ant & Daz are hitting the stage at the ISIS Club. As the evening deepens, enjoy performances by Neil Wenck, Ryan Giles, Mark Lavender, Dan Pastoor, Matt Black, and Shades — plus a late set from Derek F at Sugarland Tavern and LCK lighting up Agnes Water Tavern from 9pm.

Saturday keeps the rhythm going from morning to night. Start with coffee and acoustic tunes from Todd Keightley at River Cruz Café at 10am. Marah Leigh hits the Bucca Hotel at midday, followed by Caitlin Drew at the Metro, and Mark Lavender returns to Tattersals at 1pm. Codies Place hosts Mr Chollin from 2pm, while Vette English takes the spotlight at the New Globe Hotel from 5pm. As the night rolls in, Andy McLucas plays Ballistic Brewing, Barolin Rocks rock out at the Young Australian Hotel, and Kathryn Coad brings her charm to Sandhills. There’s more music waiting at Bargara Beach Hotel with Dan Pastoor, and over at Bundy RSL, Phoebe Jay takes the mic. Jake Higgins, Brendan Egan, Mr Q, Shades, and Wal Neilsen keep the good times rolling, while Sonic closes the night out at Agnes Water Tavern.

If you haven’t had your fill by Sunday, no worries — Bundy has you covered. River Cruz Café kicks off the day with Dale at 10am, followed by Purple Hills at Bucca Hotel from midday. Rusty Keys brings the groove to Spotted Dog at 1pm, while Vette English returns for a Lighthouse Hotel set. Later in the afternoon, Neil Wenck serenades the RSL, Brendan Egan keeps the beats flowing at The Waves, and Todd Keightley makes a final weekend appearance at Drift and Wood Café. Wind down your weekend with Frank Benn at Sandhills Sports Club from 5pm.

From rock and country to acoustic vibes and crowd-pleasers, there’s a performance for every musical taste across Bundaberg this weekend.
