Bundy Beats & Breezy Vibes: Your Weekend Entertainment Guide

24 April, 2025

Bundaberg is turning up the volume and setting the stage for another epic weekend filled with live music, good vibes, and all the local charm your long week needs to forget. Whether you’re into jazz, country, rock, or just love tapping your feet with a cold drink in hand, Bundy’s got your back.

Things kick off Thursday with a melting pot of sounds across town. Carlyle Gardens gets groovy with Tony Cha Cha, while Oodies Café brings the smooth soul of Out of Abingdon. The Waves Sports Club plays host to Doug Edwards, and Burnett Heads promises a good ol’ fashioned jam session. Meanwhile, the Bucca Hotel turns it up a notch with their Youth Gig, featuring Next Level for the next generation of local legends.

Start your Friday afternoon with a little country courtesy of Wal Neilsen at the South Kolan Hotel, then groove into the evening with music from Russell Bishop, Brendan Egan, and Shane Allsop as the vibes spread through Agnes Water, Brothers Club, and Sugarland Tavern. Drift and Wood Café gets acoustic with Jason Smith while the jam continues at Spotted Dog and Ricks at Bargara. Want more? Ant n Daz at the Isis Club, Bevan Spiers at Woodgate Beach Club, and Cowboy at the Woodgate Beach Hotel will keep things loud and lively well into the night.

Saturday is stacked with acts from noon ‘til midnight. Start with Marah Leigh at the Bucca Hotel and Keenan Brittain at Ballistic Brewing, then wind your way through a musical maze of local talent. Whether it’s the bluesy soul of Bre Ferguson at Spotted Dog, the country twang of Sonic Playground at the Bucca Hotel, or the toe-tapping sounds of Saltwater Cartel at The Waves, there’s no wrong move this Saturday. And let’s not forget Dust of Uruzgan bringing their powerful storytelling to the Isis Club.

Then it’s Sunday, the day of rest… unless you’re resting with a drink and some sweet tunes. From Abby Skye’s set at Bucca Hotel to Ava Marschke at Sugarland Tavern, and the relaxing jazz sounds of Robyn Brown at the Spotted Dog, there’s no shortage of soul-soothing entertainment to help you ease out of the weekend. Close the curtain on your Sunday at Drift and Wood Café with the stunning Phoebe Jay or catch Brendan Egan live again at The Waves Sports Club before the weekend waves goodbye.

Bundy, you’ve got the tunes, the talent, and the venues. All you need to do now is show up.
