14 March, 2025

If you’ve been looking for an excuse to let loose this weekend, Bundy’s live music scene has got you covered. Whether you’re up for a chilled-out acoustic session, a high-energy band, or something to sip your drink to, this weekend’s lineup is bringing the goods.

Friday kicks off early at 4PM with Hats On at Sugarland Tavern and Miss Lee serenading the laneway. By 5:30, Pete O’Brien will be setting the vibe at Ballistic Brewing, and by 6PM, the choices multiply – from Shannon Young at the Federal Hotel in Childers to Rufous Whistler at Oodies Cafe, and The Other Bloke rocking out at Tattersalls Hotel. If you’re feeling beachy, Mick Bazley is hitting Ricks at Bargara, while Brendan Egan takes over Bargara Beach Hotel at 6:30.

As the night rolls on, Todd Keightley keeps things lively at Brothers Club at 7PM, Keely Ellen lights up South Kolan Hotel, and Tai Davis brings the energy to Lighthouse Hotel. If you’re up for a late one, Agnes Water Tavern hosts Jas Deepwater at 8PM, while Mick Douglas closes out the night at Sugarland Tavern from 8:30.

Saturday starts smooth at River Cruz Cafe with Elisha Commandau at 9AM before things heat up at 10AM with live acts like Andy McLucas, The Filth, and Blunt at Walla St Skate Park. Bucca Hotel serves up some Derek F. Smith at noon, and Tony Spruce brings the groove to Metro Hotel by 12:30. Come sunset, the scene is buzzing – Miss Lee is back at Ricks at Bargara at 6PM, while Whiskey Mountain Boys turn up the twang at Grand Hotel Childers. Mick Bazley gets Bargara Beach Hotel going from 6:30, and by 7PM, venues like The Waves Sports Club, Brothers Club, and South Kolan Hotel will be in full swing with Shades, Shane Wilkinson, and Kathryn Coad delivering the tunes. Agnes Water Tavern brings Raining Roses to the stage at 8PM for a proper nightcap.

Sunday wraps up the weekend with some easy listening – Elisha Commandau kicks off the morning at River Cruz Cafe at 9AM. By 12PM, you’ve got choices: Mick Douglas at Federal Hotel Childers, Kathryn Coad at Yandaran Hotel, and Keely Ellen at Bucca Hotel. The arvo brings Bundy’s Jam Session at Ballistic Brewing from 1PM, and William Ramage takes over Sugarland Tavern at 2PM. As the weekend winds down, The Other Bloke at The Waves Sports Club (4PM) and Keenan at Sandhills Sports Club (5PM) will give you one last excuse to stay out just a little longer.

So, what’s the game plan? A few cold drinks, some good mates, and a whole lot of live music. See you out there, Bundy!
