Hop Into the Fun: What’s On in Bundaberg This Easter Long Weekend?

17 April, 2025
Easter in Bundy isn’t just about chocolate eggs and awkward family photos—it’s also jam-packed with live music, great food, and more good vibes than a basket full of hot cross buns. Whether you’re keen for a cruisy evening with local artists or want to dance off your Easter calories with a beer in hand, this long weekend has something for everyone.
Start your Easter break early this Thursday, with the smooth sounds of Jack Raymond & Jay Bishoff lighting up Oodies Café from 5PM. Over at The Waves Sports Club, Derek F Smith is bringing the good vibes from 5:30PM, while Suro Café will be serenaded by Railmotor at 6PM. The Metro Hotel hosts Tony Spruce at 7PM, and the Lighthouse Hotel keeps things pumping with Mix Tape. If you’re keen for a late one, catch Jake Higgins at Brothers Club or Abigail Williams at Woodgate Beach Hotel from 8PM.
Saturday is bursting with talent and energy, kicking off with Bre Ferguson at Bucca Hotel from midday. Codie’s Place gets a visit from Bradley Button at 2PM, before Pete O’Brien takes over Sugarland Laneway at 5PM. But the real headline of the night? Old Bundy Tavern is set to shake with East Coast Alternative’s epic lineup featuring Oceans for Sirus, Blunt, Reckless Error, and Seeds of Success.
From 6PM, Miss Lee brings her sparkle to Ricks at Bargara, Matthew Barker plays the Bargara Beach Hotel from 6:30PM, and things heat up at 7PM across Bundy—Velocity rocks The Waves Sports Club, Spargo Brothers take over the Lighthouse Hotel, and if you’re into country, Club Bargara is the place to be. You’ll also find Electric Bananas at Brothers Club, Aaron Westlake at Sugarland Tavern, and the Marshall Brothers keeping things lively at Buxton Bush Camp. Don’t miss Wal Neilsen at the Spotted Dog or Keenan Brittain at Sandhills Sports Club. If you’re out Childers way, the Saltwater Cartel hits the Grand Hotel from 7:30PM, and Dance Floor Confession shakes things up at Bucca Hotel.
Still going? By 8PM, swing into the Melbourne Hotel for By Chance or head to Agnes Water Tavern to catch The Fill Ins. Phew!
Sunday keeps the good times rolling, starting at 12PM with The Coads at Yandaran Hotel, Aaron Westlake at Bucca Hotel, and Latitude 25 at the Spotted Dog. Mick Bazley takes the stage at Moore Park Hotel from 12:30PM, while Miss Lee returns to Lighthouse Hotel at 1PM.
For a Sunday sesh with a twist, Sugarland Tavern hosts an acoustic showcase by ECA featuring 2EZ, Abigail Williams, Shell Grinder, and Dizzy Williams at 1PM. At 2PM, Flame hits Woodgate Beach Hotel, and Sharky brings the energy to Agnes Water Tavern.
Round out your weekend with Russell Bishop at Drift and Wood Café at 4PM, Todd Keightley at The Waves Sports Club, and Railmotor at Rusty Pelican from 4:30PM. Wrap it all up with Keenan Brittain at Sandhills Sports Club or Derek F Smith at Buxton Bush Camp from 5PM.
No matter where you end up this Easter, Bundaberg’s bringing the beats, the brews, and a whole lot of fun. See you out there—probably trying to dance off a hot cross bun coma!
