Triathlon

The combined Bundaberg, Moore Park, Bargara Lions & Lioness Clubs together with the Bargara Triathlon Club are presenting a new Olympic distance triathlon.  Choose from a variety of distances to suit your fitness and experience level. There's the Olympic distance (1.5km swim, 40km cycle, 10km run) for more experienced participants, a shorter 'Give it a Tri' distance of 400m swim, 14km cycle and 4km run, and a 'Turtles' event for kids.  The Triathlon will consist of three seperate classes - The Nippers, the Give it a Tri and the seasoned Triathletes competing over various distances in the Swim, Bike & Run Legs.  Commencing official from 10am and running up to 2pm will be the Lions Family Fun Day, aimed as providing some free entertainment and family fun. Kowboy Kaos will provide free amusement rides and the Brass Monkeys will undertake the Music entertainment. Bundaberg Brewed Drinks will provide their range of soft drinks, food vendors, face painting and other interactive displays and stalls.  It is very important to note - The Esplanade will be closed form 6am to around 10am and Fred Courtice drive closed up to around 2pm. Parking is to be via Holland Street and follow the direction signs to parking areas manned by S.E.S and Lions Volunteers  For more info contact Michael Brown on 04095360
