
Visit Bundaberg Library to hear local author Patricia Collins talk about her book – Rock and Tempest: Surviving Cyclone Tracy and its aftermath
Come along and hear Patricia’s experiences as a naval officer stationed in Darwin during Cyclone Tracy. In her role Patricia was part of the clean-up efforts and in Rock and Tempest she recounts the efforts of residents to survive the destructive storm and its devastating aftermath. With a particular focus on the role of the Royal Australian Navy Patricia’s story contains first-hand accounts of the harrowing events, but also tales of courage and resilience.
- Doors open at 5.30pm for light refreshments and mingling prior to the talk at 6:00pm.
