Bundaberg resident and first-time author Trish Wyatt is holding an official launch of her book “Don’t Report Rape.” Despite its provocative title, the book describes her experience with the criminal justice system and explains this seemingly counter-intuitive guidance. The book also provides 14 recommendations for reform. The event is not just a book launch, it is an opportunity to raise awareness and educate our community on the serious issue of sexual violence. Attendees will find out what it is like not only to have survived a horrific assault, but also the journey through our very broken justice system. Trish will discuss the reasons behind writing the book and the hope for change that drives her passion as an advocate.
