
BrideWorx and Bridges health & Community Care invite you to the official re-opening of the Wintergarden and historical exhibition: Showtime: A History of the Wintergarden Theatre 1929-1968 Come on a journey through the history of the Wintergarden Theatre. Drawn from local, state and national archives, this exhibition features rarely seen historical photos and objects. Home to the performing arts for 39 years, this much-loved venue was known for its live performances and cinema. The exhibition has been developed by curator Trudie Leigo and researcher Delwyn Ainsworth. So come along and step back in time, to see Bundaberg as it was 100 years ago and learn more about one of Bundaberg’s most iconic buildings. Official Opening: 9:00am, Saturday 28 June | 2 Maryborough Street, Bundaberg Join us for a Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony and official ribbon cutting. 9:30am – Exhibition officially open. 9:00am to 1:00pm – take a step back in time to the 1920s to 1960’s with the local Vintage Car Show and enjoy a coffee as you wonder around these stunning cars. There will also be two guided tours of the venue that you can book into. Then join at 3:00pm for a special ticketed show by Redhead Production Company, as we celebrate the special connection between the Wintergarden Theatre and the Playhouse Theatre plus the wider community.
