The Bundaberg-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew was kept busy on Saturday after two men were injured in separate motor vehicle incidents in the region.
The LifeFlight helicopter with a specialist aeromedical team onboard was first tasked at 10.45am by Retrieval Services Queensland to help a man in his 50s after a vehicle rollover in Agnes Water.
The helicopter landed at Agnes Water Airstrip, where the patient was transferred by Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) from the scene of the incident.
The critical care LifeFlight doctor and QAS flight paramedic worked with local paramedics to treat the man for a head laceration and neck and back injuries.
The patient was then airlifted to Bundaberg Hospital in a stable condition.
The LifeFlight helicopter and crew were then tasked just after 2 o’clock to attend an incident in Tuan Forest.
The doctor and paramedic onboard treated a man in his 20s for leg and pelvic injuries after a vehicle rollover, with the patient flown to hospital in a stable condition.
