A new operator has been chosen to run bus services in the Bundaberg region, as the start of the school year approaches.
Kinetic will pick up services across the Burnett region from Tuesday when school begins.
The operator will take over the Elliot Heads and Moore Park routes, as well as 13 school services.
Burnett MP Stephen Bennett says there will be no disruption to any of Kinetic’s other services.
“The Crisafulli Government has appointed Kinetic as the new interim operator to ensure our community remains connected through safe and reliable bus services.
“Critically, there will be no disruption to services, as we head into the new school year.
“Kinetic already operates a number of services in the area, and we are confident this contract will be a positive result for the community.
“While we are working to ensure the transition will be as smooth as possible, I encourage families to plan their child’s journey ahead and contact Kinetic directly for the School Transport Assistance Scheme.”
