Woodgate Boat Ramp to Close

The Woodgate Boat Ramp at First Avenue will soon close for about two months while rehabilitation works are undertaken.

Maritime Safety Queensland general manager Kell Dillon says the works will prolong the life of the boat ramp and ensure accessibility.

“The works include replacing some of the girders, headstocks, and decking, and rebuilding part of the ramp,” Mr Dillon says.

“The temporary closure of the ramp will speed up works while ensuring the safety of workers and boaties.

“Boaties can use the nearby Walkers Point Boat Ramp while the Woodgate Boat Ramp is closed.

“Every effort is being made to complete the rehabilitation works and reopen the ramp to the public before the Easter long
weekend.”
