Election Promises Heat Up

The LNP is making more promises in the lead up to the state election. They'll be employing an extra 535 police officers across the state should they get in. Local candidate David Batt says it's an important announcement, with 22 million dollars also being set aside for police equipment.  While a re-elected Palaszczuk Government would invest in solar energy for 57 schools in the Wide Bay Burnett region. It's part of a $97 million plan to install solar on the roofs of more than 800 schools. Labor say it would save $10.2 million a year on energy costs across the state. Bundaberg MP Leanne Donaldson says it would save schools thousands of dollars every year.
