The Senate Community Affairs Legislation Committee is throwing it's support behind the expansion of the Cashless Debit Card. It's set to be rolled out in the Hinkler Electorate early next year. The Senate Committee has handed down a report, recommending the Cashless Debit Card Bill 2017 be passed. Hinkler MP Keith Pit has some stern words for the Labor party that will be voting against the expansion. While the St Vincent de Paul Society is urging Federal Parliament to reject the extension of the cashless debit card trial. They say it's an expensive and ineffective measure that takes choice, control and dignity away from people trying to live off very little.
