The Premier will reportedly be involved in an 'emergency meeting' with regional MPs on Friday afternoon, where Adani is expected to be a hot topic.
News Corp reports that Annastacia Palaszczuk will be involved in the discussion to hopefully smooth over concerns about her Government's handling of Adani's Carmichael coal mine project.
The meeting is being held on Federal Election eve as unrest bubbles away in the electorates of Dawson, Capricornia and Flynn and Herbert.
Local MPs have indicated they are worried the slow pace of approvals could cost them their seats.
The Courier-Mail reports that several MPs from central and north Queensland rose during the general business element of Monday afternoon’s pre-Parliament caucus meeting to air their concerns about the growing animosity they have been experiencing in recent weeks.
The Courier-Mail understands that Ms Palaszczuk will meet with MPs at 4pm at Parliament to discuss their concerns.
A spokesman for the Premier said the meeting was not about Adani and the project would not be discussed.
