A 28-year-old man from Mango Hill had a very expensive afternoon drive after being intercepted by officers from Howard earlier this week.
Howard officers were conducting patrols along the Bruce Highway, Torbanlea at about 3.15pm on June 11 when they intercepted a blue Porsche convertible travelling at 145km/h in a 100km/h zone.
As a result, police spoke with the man regarding this speed and further checks revealed that the vehicle was unregistered and uninsured.
During the intercept, officers identified several small bags of white powder on the floor of the vehicle which was later identified as cocaine.
The man was issued with infringement notices for driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle and exceeding the speed limit which will cost the driver $2,157 in fines.
The man was also issued a notice to appear for the charge of posses dangerous drug over schedule 2.
He will appear in Pine Rivers Magistrate Court on July 1.
