Police Release Image Of Man Following Torquay Assault

UPDATE | Maryborough detectives, investigating the serious assault of a 45-year-old Torquay man last week, have released the name and image of a man they who may able to assist with their inquiries.

Isaac Powell, 32 (pictured below) is described as Aboriginal, approximately 170cm tall, proportionate build, brown hair and brown eyes.

The incident occurred at Urangan Street Torquay on Wednesday, September 4 just after 2pm.

The 45-year-old victim in this instance remains in a critical condition at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

It is believed that the Mr Powell may be in the Hervey Bay area.

Detectives are continuing their investigations.

Anyone who may have CCTV footage or may have seen the incident are asked to contact police.

EARLIER | Detectives are investigating the serious assault of a Torquay man on Wednesday.  

Around 2:00pm, Police went to a Urangan Street address, after receiving reports that the 45-year-old was unconscious after he had been hit in the head and fell over.  

He was transported to the Hervey Bay Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Detectives are continuing their investigations.
