Chilly temps on the way for Bundy

Time to get the extra blanket out as winter sets in across the Sunshine and Cooloola Coasts.

The Bureau of Meteorology is predicting overnight temps would drop to 7°C in Childers and 8°C in Bundaberg on Wednesday morning.

Forecaster Peter Markworth said a cold blast from the south is causing temps to drop.

"Colder temperatures from further south of the continent are being pushed up over southern Queensland so it will mean a bit of a rapid change," he said.
