Bundaberg has seen strong tourist numbers from Queenslanders holidaying at home, amidst the border closures.
Bundaberg Tourism reports many local business' are taking good booking numbers for the September/October school holidays as well as Christmas.
CEO Katherine Reid said local operators are getting consistent bookings from other Queenslanders.
"And healthy occupancy rates since restrictions eased to allow travel, so we've had minimal impact from the Victorian border and also the Greater Western Sydney being closed," Ms Reid said.
Ms Reid said it will be interesting to see how the next few weeks pan out.
"I think now with what's happening in Victoria and New South Wales at the moment, I think people are becoming a bit more hesitant," Ms Reid said.
"So the booking flow has slowed for the later in the year time."
