More cash has been made available for Bundaberg and other communities hit hard by the summer bushfires.
$36.8 million in recovery funding has been announced, jointly delivered by the Australian and Queensland Governments.
Councils from 13 regions can now apply for up to $5 million for projects to assist in their recovery efforts and create local jobs.
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said while the coronavirus pandemic is front of mind for many, the devastating summer bushfires have not been forgotten.
"7.7 million hectares were scorched across the State, destroying homes and businesses," Ms Palaszczuk said.
"The road to recovery for disasters is often long and behind the scenes I want to assure Queenslanders that the recovery work has been continuing."
