Bundaberg locals who have been feeling 'disconnected' due to Covid, or other issues, will be the special focus of this year's RUOK Day events.
Bundaberg Regional Council and Lifeline have set up bright yellow banners and will be out in the CBD on Wednesday, ahead of the official day on Thursday, to let people express support for those who are feeling stressed or depressed.
Community Services portfolio spokesperson Cr Tracey McPhee said "people can come through and write their message of support on the banner".
"It's something that affects the entire community. There's a lot of factors at play when it comes to mental health and one's feeling disconnected.
"This is a promotion of starting that conversation and that creates connection."
