September holidays have shaped up to be bumper period for local tourism.
Bundaberg Tourism reported many coastal accommodation providers were already fully booked in the lead up to the holidays, which began on September 19th.
CEO Katherine Reid said there is plenty of fun to get up to.
"Lady Musgrave Experience will be running everyday out to Lady Musgrave Island, Bundaberg Rum is back open again for tours and then we've also got our beautiful Botanic Gardens and the Hinkler Hall of Aviation," Ms Reid said.
"We're such a strong drive destination, it's only half a day's drive north of the south-east corner so you can leave after the morning peak hour and be in Bundaberg in time for a lazy afternoon lunch of fish and chips on the beach."
