A man in his 20s has been airlifted to hospital, after he getting bitten by a snake, possibly a King Brown, at a property west of Bundaberg this afternoon.
The Bundaberg RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew had just completed a mission, airlifting a rider who had been injured in a trail bike accident, when they were urgently tasked to respond to the snake bite victim, at around 3.45pm.
Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics were already treating the patient when the chopper landed in a nearby clearing on a private property at Kalpower.
They say the man was suffering symptoms which indicated he had been bitten by a venomous snake.
The emergency crews worked together to stabilise the man, before flying him to Bundaberg Hospital for treatment.
