A man has sustained some serious lower body injuries after losing control of a motorcycle while riding on the Fraser Coast.
Emergency crews were called to the crash site in forestry off Mungar Road at Tiaro at 10:30am on Sunday.
A RACQ LifeFlight spokesperson says due to the terrain, paramedics were winched down to the scene by he Bundaberg-based rescue helicopter.
"The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue pilot then landed the aircraft in a paddock near by," the spokesperson says.
"Once the patient was stabilised, local QAS paramedics drove the injured man and QAS Flight Paramedic to rendezvous with the chopper."
The man in his 50s had suffered some lower body injuries and was flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition for further treatment.
