Bundaberg produce and tourist attractions will soon be in the spotlight at Parliament House in Brisbane.
The annual Bundaberg Region Promotion Night is being held on June 17, and representatives from Bundaberg Rum, Bundaberg Fruit and Vegetable Growers, Splitters Farm, Tinaberries, and Ballistic Beer Co will be there.
The roadshow was cancelled last year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Putting their political differences aside, Labor Member for Bundaberg Tom Smith and Liberal Burnett MP Stephen Bennett are joining forces to put the region's best foot forward.
Mr Bennett says it will promote the best of what the region has to offer to some of Queensland's most important decision-makers.
"It's really important as a region that we do be front and centre of ministers - and particularly shadow ministers - when they are making those important decisions about the future of agriculture, the future of tourism, the future of promotion," Mr Bennett says.
Mr Smith says there has not been a more important time to promote the region as it tries to bounce back after the COVID-19 downturn.
"From our amazing producers and tourism operators to local businesses and community groups, the Bundaberg region is so diverse and this is the perfect opportunity to put the Bundaberg region front and centre," Mr Smith says.
