A coronavirus vaccine clinic in set to return to Bundaberg this weekend!
This is the second round of weekend clinics in the Wide Bay, which proved to be successful during the initial opening when nearly 800 locals were vaccinated on 5 June.
Wide Bay Hospital Health Service Vaccine Lead Fiona Sewell says the clinics, will be offering the Pfizer vaccine to anyone who is eligible for their second dose.
“These hubs are opening three weeks after the initial Saturday clinics to enable anyone who received their first dose of Pfizer to come back in for their second dose,” Ms Sewell says..
“Our hubs have plenty of clinic capacity to also see people wanting their first dose of the vaccine and we’re particularly encouraging people aged 40 to 59 as well as aged care and disability support workers
to come in to receive the Pfizer vaccine."
Clinics are located at the Bundaberg and Hervey Bay TAFE centres and open from 8am to the last appointments at 4.30pm.
