Local farmers are rejoicing after heavy rain fell across drought-ravaged parts of the region.

More than 90 millimetres were recorded at Pacific Haven on Monday, while 65mms drenched Bundaberg.

Bundaberg Fruit and Vegetable Growers chairman Joe Lyons says it's welcomed news after a long dry-spell.

Mr Lyons says some farmers have been on a fifth of their normal water allocations for six months.

"Some parts of this region were down to 22 per cent allocations ... we are now getting inflows into the systems," Mr Lyons says.

Paradise Dam's current capacity is sitting at 101% with Sunwater's executive general manager operations Colin Bendal last week confirming that irrigators will have access to their full water entitlement until the end of June 2022.

"The allocation for medium priority customers in the Burnett sub-scheme has been raised from 22 to 100 per cent,” Mr Bendall says.

"Paradise Dam is full, as are downstream storages Ned Churchward Weir and Ben Anderson Barrage, with rainfall received across the region."
