Local Controlled Burn

A hazard reduction burn has commenced in the Miara and Yandaran areas. Covering around 3,000 acres the activity will be controlled jointly by the Qld Fire & Emergency Services and Qld Parks & Wildlife Service. Due to the size of the burn there is likely to be a large amount of smoke which could last for a week around the region. Bundaberg area director Bruce Thompson is reminding residents and road users to be aware of thick smoke
