Daffodil Day 2023 is next week! On 1st September we will be in the Bundaberg Pavilion(Bourbong St CBD) from 7am with fresh daffodils for sale as well as the cute daffodil pins. We know 2023 has been a tough year for Queenslanders but not many people realize that Cancer Council Queensland is over 90% funded by the generosity and support from our communities to ensure no Queenslander is left navigating cancer alone. We conduct world-leading research, we run critical cancer prevention initiatives, and offer support services across the State to make sure no Queenslander navigates cancer alone… but none of this is possible without the support and donations from Queenslanders and all funds raised through our inaugural Daffodil Giving Day will do exactly that. Each year more than 32,000 Queenslanders are diagnosed with cancer and at Cancer Council Queensland, it’s our mission to lead Queenslanders in a partnership against cancer. When it comes to donations, every single dollar counts. · $20 enables a cancer patient to get to cancer treatment without having to worry about the cost · $50 provides a wig and turban appointment, so that Queenslander feels confident and cared for during chemotherapy · $900 gives a regional Queenslander and their carer a week’s accommodation in one of our Lodges whilst undergoing vital treatment.
