A NSW high school teacher has been accused of sending explicit images of herself to a 15-year-old student and indecently assaulting the teenage boy.
The 26-year-old woman was on Thursday arrested at a home in Wyee, in Lake Macquarie, after police were told about the alleged photos.
The woman was charged with grooming a child for unlawful activity, aggravated indecent assault of a victim under 16, and three counts of aggravated sexually touching another person.
Detective Inspector Mick Haddow told reporters in Sydney on Friday the incident was "very concerning, given the position of power which a teacher has over a child".
There was the possibility of other victims, he said.
The teacher has been refused bail to appear at Toronto Local Court on Friday.
