Six cannabis plants and equipment used to cultivate the drug were discovered in the back of a burning ute along a South Australian highway.
Emergency services were called to the Port River Expressway at about 11:30am on Saturday where a Ford Ranger ute had caught alight.
Firefighters made the discovery while extinguishing the blaze.
The driver was taken to hospital with minor burns to his hands.
The passenger escaped without injury.
Detectives are now investigating.
In South Australia, it is illegal to be in possession of, use, grow or sell marijuana.
Large scale cultivation or sale of cannabis plants may result in a maximum penalty of between $50,000 to $500,000, imprisonment for 15 years to life or both.
