Businesses on Princess Street had an eventful day after an incident involving hazardous material.
Police declared an exclusion zone yesterday morning just before half past ten to assess the situation.
An area comprising of Mary Street, Alexandra Street and Bunda Street was cordened off to the public.

It was reopened at around half past one in the afternoon.
Investigations continue as to what caused the incident.
The Queensland Ambulance Service said multiple people were assessed at the scene, but no one required hospital treatment.
