Bundaberg Police involved in sting operation targeting OMCGs

Bundaberg Police have arrested an alleged high-ranking member of an outlaw motorcycle gang from the Wide Bay Burnett.

It’s part of Operation X-ray Slight, which targeted properties in Hatton Vale and Monto.

The 43-year-old Monto man is accused of 47 charges of drug, recruitment, and domestic violence-related offences.

He was scheduled to appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Friday.

A 30-year-old Monto woman, accused of 26 charges including drug offences, was scheduled to appear in the Bundaberg Magistrates Court on Friday.

Detective Inspector Craig Mansfield has sent a strong message to outlaw motorcycle gangs in the Bundaberg region.

“OMCG members and the associated serious organised crime are not welcomed or tolerated in our community,” he said.

“We’re committed to keeping dangerous drugs off our streets by detecting, deterring, and disrupting the movement of harmful substances.”
