Almost 290 vehicles had items stolen from them in the Bundaberg area during 2022 with offences peaking in October.

Police recommend following these tips to reduce the risk of being targeted.

  • Always lock your vehicle, including the boot and toolboxes and remember to fully close all windows
  • Remove keys from the ignition and lock your vehicle if your vehicle is parked or unattended, even if it’s only for a minute
  • Remove all valuables and personal items when leaving your car unattended, or ensure they are out of sight
