Locals heading away on a holiday road trip shouldn’t feel too much of a pinch.

Fuel prices are expected to stay steady over the school and Easter break.

In Bundaberg today, unleaded will set you back around $1.70/litre and RACQ’s Lauren Cooney says there won’t be much change in the coming weeks.

“They [prices] have declined ever so slightly in the past week and we do expect them to stay around where they are for the duration of the school holidays,” she says.

“Lately global oil prices have remained quite steady which is why we’ve seen fuel prices throughout the regions also remain steady.”

Ms Cooney add it always pay to check out prices in other areas if you’re going away.

“They might be a bit cheaper if you’re travelling to a certain destination compared to what they are at home, but generally we should see unleaded prices remain quite stable as well as diesel prices.”
