Police will be out in force targeting bad behaviour on our roads – following four deaths in two days.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating three fatal incidents across the Wide Bay Burnett – including one where a 60-year-old Bundaberg South man was killed on the Bruce Highway at Apple Tree Creek.
Wide Bay Burnett District Superintendent Anne Volger is reminding drivers that road safety begins with them.
“Though investigations into the circumstances of the incidents are ongoing, it’s likely Fatal Five factors like speed and driving under the influence were contributors to the crashes,” Supt Volger said.
“Your life, and the life of your passengers and other road users, are in your hands.”
Anyone with information about the Apple Tree Creek crash is urged to contact police.
