The Bundaberg Netball Association has received $620,000 in funding for a series of upgrades to improve playability and inclusion.

It’s part of the state government’s Games On program.

The money will cover new LED lighting, resurfaced courts, and improved access for all-abilities.

The Member for Burnett, Stephen Bennett, says it’s a big boost to grassroots sports in Bundaberg.

“These upgrades will mean Bundaberg can continue to host major competitions, boost our economy, and support thousands of players of all ages into the future,” Mr Bennett said.

Association president Matt Leighton has welcomed the funding.

“Our courts and infrastructure have reached the point where upgrades are urgently needed,” Mr Leighton said.

“This support ensures we can keep providing safe, inclusive, and high-quality facilities for players, coaches, officials, and families right across the region.”
