An incredibly lucky escape on the Fraser Coast with a pilot suffering only minor injuries in a plane crash.
The alarm was raised around 2pm Wednesday when the Cessnock aircraft came down at Hervey Bay.
The Bundaberg-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew was called to the scene but wasn’t needed.
It’s understood the pilot managed to free himself from the wreckage and walked to meet emergency services at a nearby road.
The pilot, in his 30s, suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
