Thousands are expected to celebrate the Childers Festival – which kicks off today through Sunday.
The town will come alive with performances, art and more than 300 stallholders.
The main festival day is Sunday the 27th – where the highway will shut down with something promised for everyone.

On Sunday the Bruce Highway will be closed from 5.30 am for 12 hours – for staging works and the festival.
Diversions in place are as follows:
Traffic will be diverted as follows:
Southbound – via Broadhurst, Macrossan and Stewart Streets
Northbound – via Taylor St, Thompson Road and Broadhurst Streets
Crescent Street will be closed from 6 am Thursday 24 July to 5.30 pm Sunday 27 July.
